So last time I posted here I promised an update was on the way, but clearly that never came in time.
To catch you up, the last blog post I made on here with all the GIFs was a celebration post. I had just got an offer to work at Capcom Vancouver as a Level Designer on a unnanounced console title. At first I thought I wanted to post an update when the starstruck plucky feeling of just being happy to be there washed away. From there it was after a milestone was over. Then a deadline. After a while, why not wait until my 1 year anniversary? The game's announcment? And so on.
Long story short, I got so caught up in my work I didn't make time to update my blog or do any personal work effectively.
Well that all changes now! I am forever grateful for my nearly 3 years at Capcom - I learned more at my time there than during any other stage of my career. Beyond that I made a lot of wonderful relationships that will last a lifetime. That all being said.. It's time to move on!
I've been away from Capcom for a few days now and during my time off I've done some level design work exploring mission design for a 3-4 player co-operative shooter ala Destiny, I've explored some game design mechanics and concepts in VR using the Oculus Rift, and I've gotten back into digital art in a big way.
I'll give proper posts for all of these and more, likely starting with the digital art as it's the easiest information to parse out.
